Public Arts were appointed to produce a detailed arts strategy that identified opportunities for a range of artists' commissions within Richard Grainger's 19th Century architectural masterpiece of urban planning.
The Grainger Town Public Arts Strategy included commitments to involve artists in the creative lighting of major buildings, to work with artists based in the City to design new paving commissions, and the 'Art at the Heart' scheme which enabled the private sector to work with artists by providing initial grant aid for artists' designs.
