Berwick Workspace
Berwick Workspace is a new £3.75m flagship business incubation centre, set within Berwick's historic Boarding School Yard. The Workspace is a vital resource for stimulating new business growth in the town.
Artist Laura Harrington worked with Malcolm Fraser Architects to develop a design for the courtyard and interior spaces. Discussion of the building's themes of business incubation and creative osmosis led to the creation of a repeating botanical motif that was used both as an external frieze and as a series of internal wooden panels within the main stairwell.
