Hexham Pool
As part of its investment in a new multi million pound swimming pool development in Hexham, Tynedale Council commissioned artist Katayoun Dowlatshahi to create a large integral glass wall for the entrance and changing room area.
The glass screens are printed with the image of trees reflected in water, making reference to the proximity of the river and local parkland, once the site of extensive orchards. This motif was used extensively throughout the building in smaller windows and signage and in the new logo for the leisure centre redevelopment.
