'Glade' is a striking sculptural shelter sited in the refurbished public square off Prudhoe's Front Street. It was commissioned as part of a £600,000 improvement scheme to put the heart back into the town.
'Glade's vertical oak posts symbolise trees supporting a river of glass - inspired by the nearby River Tyne - engraved with words and phrases celebrating Prudhoe which were generated by people living and working in the town.
