The Box
Designed by Xsite Architecture, 'The Box' acts as a radio broadcast point and information booth telling residents and visitors about plans for rejuvenating the historic market town of Barnard Castle. It uses Bluetooth messaging, WiFi and digital screens, to broadcast visitor information and interpretation material, retail advertising and free music downloads.
'The Box' won the North East Digital Innovation Award 2008.
