In celebration of the Grainger Market’s multi-million pound refurbishment Newcastle City Council supported a programme of five temporary artworks and one permanent art piece to be installed within the venue.
Inspired by the unique building and atmosphere of the market, which was an integral part of the nineteenth century Grainger Town development, they were commissioned to add a new dimension to the public art in the city.
The artist used a video mobile phone to track goods brought from the Grainger Market. This footage was then collated and presented within the Market Place.
