Baltic: Homage to Blake
Opened in 2001, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art began its commissioning programme with Jaume Plensa's dramatic lighting installation 'Homage to Blake' and has continued to develop a vigorous programme of events and residencies across Gateshead. This work was originally curated by Gateshead Council for the Temporary Contemporary programme for the 1996 Year of the Visual Arts.
